Everyone flips at once, and the fastest eyes at the table win. Eyedentify is a speed game of spotting the match, packed with symbols drawn from Ugandan and East African life.

It comes in a pocket-sized hexagon tin that goes everywhere: the office, the family table or the taxi park. It’s easy to learn in a minute, and nobody wants to put it down.

Nyama choma, tuk-tuks, Ankole cattle, chapati, cowrie shells and more. Every symbol is drawn from everyday life across East Africa, and every two cards share exactly one.

How to play

Eyedentifyin minutes.

Eyedentify is a card game of 57 cards, each decorated with 8 symbols. There are 57 symbols in the game, and exactly one symbol matches between any two cards.

Objective

Whichever of the 5 games you play, the goal is always the same: be the fastest player to spot the matching symbol and call it out.

5 ways to play

Goal: Be the first player to get rid of all your cards.

Set up

Place one card face up in the middle of the table.
Shuffle and deal all the remaining cards face down to all the players.

How to play

At the same time, players flip their entire card piles over so they are face up.
Try to spot the one symbol that appears on both your top card and the centre card.
If you are the first to identify the matching symbol, call it out, for example “Watermelon!”, and place your card on top of the centre pile.
Use the new card revealed in your hand to find a match with the centre card.
Play continues until one player runs out of cards.

Winning: The first player to run out of cards wins the game.
